Release Notes

New in Fred Dispense Plus

Fred Dispense Plus automatically applies both software and drug updates. No user intervention is required, but please ensure that your server PC is always switched on as automatic updates are applied outside of business hours.

eRx Electronic Medication Charts

Recently, the first Medication Chart prescribing software achieved conformance to generate eRx electronic medication charts. Additional Medication Chart prescribing solutions are expected to gain conformance later this year. If your pharmacy currently dispenses transitional MedCharts, there will be a phased transition to eRx Electronic Medication Charts. The timing of this change will depend on the charting software in use and the specific aged care facilities involved.

Electronic Medication Chart Saved in Patient Profile

When an eRx electronic mediation chart token is scanned, the token will automatically be saved against the patient profile. Entering chart mode with CTRL + SHIFT + C will automatically load the current eRx eMedChart.

Drug Ranking – Import Ranking from Excel File

Drug Ranking can now be imported into Fred Dispense Plus using an Excel File. For more details, see Import a Drug Ranking Excel File.

Fixed in Fred Dispense Plus

  • Fixed an issue when marking off an owing script where repeats would default to maximum when Default repeats to PBS Max was set to No.

  • Fixed an issue where the insufficient stock prompt wasn’t displaying.
